Seller's Description
Seller has documentation for every oil change, every tire rotation, and one car wash in 2014 that he describes as "a full detail." Binder included.
The 2001 BMW E46 M3 is widely regarded as one of the finest driver's cars ever produced. This particular example is widely regarded, by its seller, as the finest E46 M3 ever documented.
"I have records for everything," the seller writes, and he is not exaggerating. The binder — a three-ring, tabbed, laminated affair that the seller describes as "a labor of love" — contains receipts for 23 oil changes, 18 tire rotations, 4 brake fluid flushes, and one car wash in August 2014 that the seller describes as "a full detail."
The car wash receipt is from a gas station. The seller has annotated it with the note: "Full exterior and interior. Exceptional result."
The S54 engine is described as "strong," "healthy," and "a symphony." The seller plays it at every opportunity. He has included a video in the listing of the car idling in his driveway. The video is 4 minutes and 22 seconds long. Nothing happens.
VANOS was serviced in 2022 at an independent BMW specialist. The seller has the receipt. It is in the binder, behind the tab labeled "VANOS (Important)."
Reserve is set. The seller describes the reserve as "reflective of what this car actually is." What this car actually is, he clarifies, is "a time capsule with a soul."
